Day Trips 4 U
2011 - Where has the year gone? Was it good for you?

Well here’s your Day Trips 4 U 2011 brochure and I hope there’s something for everyone.

What an assortment of trips there were in last years brochure and yet the ones I thought might go well didn’t and visa versa – I just can’t seem to anticipate what you all want as there are so many varied tastes so I hope you’ll enjoy what’s on offer this year and as always, please feel free to make any suggestions for next year anytime.

This year has a few new trips to see if they appeal to you…. How do you fancy a trip to the Theatre in London? Or what about a ride on the paddle boat on the Norfolk Broads? There are the usual Spalding Flower Festival, Ladies Day at Ascot, Mystery Tours and Thursford Christmas Show trips but this year there’s a new Christmas trip to Wicksteed Park to see their new 2011 performance of “Those Were The Days”. This trip includes lunch and tea so it’ll be a brilliant day out I’m sure. Around Christmastime there’s a Medieval Banquet at Nottingham that’s sure to be a fun evening if you fancy a 4 course banquet and dancing – you can even dress up as well! By popular demand a trip to Blackpool for the weekend to see the Illuminations is scheduled and a totally new trip is a Mini Cruise to Amsterdam which is remarkably cheap. Whitby Regatta should be fun for the sea fairers amongst us and not forgetting the young ones - how about a Teddy Bears Picnic in the Open Top Bus (Weather permitting).

Remember, we don’t want anyone to think they need to miss out because of a wheelchair - so if you see a trip you fancy, as long as you let us know in advance, we’ll do our best to schedule the coach with a lift for wheelchairs for anyone that needs assistance in getting on/off the coach. There are some days we won’t be able to do this as it may be hired out privately but we’ll always do our best.

From April 17th we’ll be going to the seaside weekly, alternating between Hunstanton and Skegness. You’ll find the timetable at the front of this brochure but unfortunately with fuel prices inflating like they have prices have had to increase. Also because of decreasing numbers from different areas there will only be the one feeder bus instead of two this year - but at least that way you should be able to keep the same seat and not have to change at Peterborough. Please bear with us if this causes a bit of havoc at peak season, apologies in advance if it does, but we have to try all ways of keeping the cost down to you. However, for those going to Skegness if you fancy a trip to Ingoldmells just tell the driver on arrival at Skegness and he’ll charge a mere £2.00 return to take you up there and pick you up later in time for the return journey home.

Well that’s enough of me going on. Off you go and get yourself a cuppa and see what’s on offer this year. I hope you enjoy, but don’t forget – if you can’t see your ideal trip give us a call and we’ll do our best to fit it in before the end of the year if we can get enough people to join you, if not we’ll try and sort something out for next year. The booking form is in the back of the brochure but you can always call the office. Either way we’ll take all the details and add your name to the list and then give you a call the week before with your pick up time. If your friends in other places want to go on any of the trips but you’re not sure whether we’ll pick them up please call us to ask rather than them miss out. Call us if you have any questions on 01733 351694 (you can fax us on 01733 359438) – or if you want to email its info@deckerbus.co.uk. The office is usually manned between 10.00 & 14.00 hrs but feel free to leave a message if we’re not in and we’ll call you back asap.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
